Archos Releases the Archos 404 Camcorder PMP

Archos has announced the release of the Archos 404 Camcorder portable media player which is Mac and Windows compatible. Features of the Archos 404 include the ability to record 80 hours of video on a 30 GB hard drive, 3.5-inch LCD screen, and read all standard video formats in full DVD resolution.
The Archos 404 Camcorder also works with an optional DVR station to record directly from TV and DVDs. In addition to its functionality as a camcorder, the Archos 404 Camcorder has a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera for capturing still photos. The Archos 404 Camcorder also plays back AAC, AC3, and stereo MP3 audio files, along with the ability to record audio via a built-in microphone. Adding to its dynamic range of features is the Archos 404’s ability to read PDF documents.The Archos 404 Camcorder retails for $299.
