Mid-March Release for Microsoft Zune Update
2 03 2007
Microsoft announced plans for a firmware update for Zune. The anticipated March release of the update will address issues such as fixing the skipping problem users encountered when downloading music online from the Zune Marketplace, and improved syncing between Zune’s media downloading and organizing desktop software.
The Zune upgrade will also prevent battery drainage when the unit is in sleep mode. The update, however, will not be addressing the lack of support for podcasts. This is a feature that users have been anticipating, as well as the wireless PC syncing, which will also not be affected by the update.
