Wolverine ESP 160GB, 7-in-1 Card Reader, and More

Wolverine Data Inc. has begun shipping the Wolverine ESP portable media player today. The Wolverine ESP Model 5160 has a storage capacity of 160GB and features a 3.6-inch TFT LCD display. The unit has an estimated retail price of $600.

The Wolverine ESP has the capabilities to store 80,000 digital photos, 50,000 songs, play 320 hours of video, and also record from television and FM radio. For photography enthusiasts, the large storage capacity will afford them the luxury of offloading RAW and JPEG photos directly from their camera. The Wolverine is equipped with a built-in 7-in-1 card reader that is compatible with popular memory cards such as Compact Flash (CF), MicroDrive, Secure Digital, MMC, Memory Stick (MS), MS-Pro, and XD Card; in addition to connectivity with an optional adapter that is compatible with MS-Duo, MS Pro-Duo, Mini-SD, and RS-MMC.

An optional ESP Cradle System provides the Wolverine ESP functionality as a digital video recorder that enables users to record directly from TV, DVD, VCR, as well as other video sources. Not neglecting its music listening base, the Wolverine ESP plays MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, and CDA formatted audio. As mentioned, the Wolverine ESP retails for about $600, and the ESP Cradle System retails for $80.
