X-Micro has announced its new line of digital media devices among which is the X-VDO F610 portable media player. At 76 x 44 x 16.5mm, the F610 fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and supports both digital music ( MP3 / WMA) and video playback. The 1.5 OLED 262k-color display screens short videos pleasantly enough but I couldn’t imagine watching a feature film on its tiny screen. But having a big screen is not the point of the F610. It is meant to be an extremely portable photo-viewing, music- and video-playing device (including a WMV DRM 9 support) and it even includes a voice recorder and an FM tuner. You can pick up the F610 with 512 MB, 1 G or 2 G onboard memory and comes with a USB cable, earphones, neck strap and a carrying pouch. It costs $89.00.
