Gsmart Windows Mobile TV Smartphones for CeBIT

Taiwanese phone manufacturer GIGA-BYTE Communications Inc. is going to show off two new Windows Mobile handhelds at CeBIT 2007. The GSmart t600 (right) is a DVB-T, DVB-H, DAB and T-DMB while the GSmart q60 is GBC’s first HSDPA 3.5G PDA. The GSmart t600 is equipped with a 2.6-inch VGA touchscreen and is able to record TV shows. It has an XScale CPU at 520 MHz with 256 MB ROM and 96 MB RAM while memory is expandable thru a microSD memory card slot. Theq60 is a UMTS/HSDPA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE device with a QWERTY thumb keyboard. It’s also powered by a XScale CPU with 520 MHz and has WiFi, Bluetooth and supports DAB radio and digital TV. It comes with two cameras, a 2.1 MP camera and a VGA. Both devices have retractable antennas and touchscreen display with the q60 having an additional stylus. “GSmart is leading the industry in delivering Mobile TV to more than twenty countries. We enjoyed a great success with TV roaming in Russia and also received high reputation during the World Cup season in Thailand market in 2006,” says GBC’s General Manager of Global Sales Mr. Christopher Chen.
