Cellphone manufacturers are looking to mobile TV as the next big thing. Here’s Jonas Geust, head of Nokia Nseries Players Category (emphasis on TV streaming and video playing capabilities), Multimedia, Nokia saying that “TV is the biggest media in the world and we are mobilizing it with the Nokia N77. The pocketable and affordable Nokia N77 further drives broadcast mobile TV based on DVB-H technology towards the mainstream market phase. The ability to watch live television on a mobile device has never been so easy.” To enhancemobile TV viewing, the N77 DVB-H TV phone boasts of a 2.4-inch display with 16 million colors and high-end stereo. There is also a dedicated TV key so no one will forget what makes this Nseries device special. The Program Guide allows you to browse TV programs up to seven days worth and purchase additional channels. The N77 is a 3G/WCDMA and a triband GSM with EDGE support. It runs on Symbian’s S60 3rd Edition software and includes a 2 megapixel camera among its features. The N77 is priced at 370 euros in Europe and has been recently approved by the FCC for American consumers.
