The fact that most Portable Media Players were created to be… well protable, doesn’t stop manufacturers and users to keep wanting to tie their unit down by docking it to something. If you really think about it the standard for iPod docks has been set pretty low with the release and actual sales of the Atech Toilet Paper dock. So ViewSonics release of the $1000 projector with a Video iPod dock is already in the league of more usefull products for iPod.

The guys at LaptopMag prepared a short review of the the PJ258D, gave it a 3.5 stars and even though they don’t explicitly say it, this projector is not all that. Poor location and design of control buttons, noisy fan, small weak speaker, and no connectivity of the remote to PowerPoint are the few things that were described in the review.
