At first I was going to have the title consist of all the acronyms describing this new PDA from LG. But when I saw that it would end up as: “LG N1 PDA: GPS, T-DMB, SRS, WM5.0″, I paused, and then decided that no matter how numerous our readers are, I am not willing to lose a single one from their head exploding. It would be a senseless loss since this pretty good sounding PDA is still only Korea-bound. Even though Wired, from which we picked up the news says “LG is about to release the LG N1 PDA in North America”, we’ll believe it when we see it. As we all know T-DMB is still some time away, and hoping that this PDA will fly off the shelves here in the US is a bit silly.
Sure SRS Mobile HD is supposed to be nice, Windows Mobile 5.0 is good, and support for main formats such as DIVX, AVI, WMV, MP3, OGG, WMA is great, but there are units like that already, and one of the selling points is T-DMB, but it’s not here yet. It would be like selling DVD players in the 70’s. So unless there is some massive plan to unleash DMB here in the state within next year or so, this very nice unit will be probably kept in Korea by LG.
