Headplay’s Personal Cinema System Gives You 52 Inches of Screen
16 03 2007The Personal Cinema System (PCS) from Headplay offers the biggest portable screen at 52 inches, which is what exactly and virtually it feels like when you wear the sun visor. The screen is at the bottom and goes as close to your eyes that it also comes with an inter-pupilar adjustor, which “[handles] 95 percent of the world’s head geometries.” The sun visor comes with a Liberator, which is the “nerve center” of the PCS. It plugs into PMPs and PCs and has all sorts of connectors including a VGA port a hookup for game systems, two USB ports and a mini USB, an S-Video output and an interface to save files into a compact flash card. The third part, the Navigator, is your contro panel. The screen is a cool 800 x 600 pixels but rest assured that resolution will get better in the next iteration. The price for the Headplay PCS is $499.
