What some people have dubbed as the “full-screen Video iPod” (with calling capabilities of course) is the kind of stuff that drives some tech-hungry people to squander their hard-earned cash.
According to Computerworld, 23 people have tried to bid on revolutionary, calling, Internet browsing and multimedia portable device on eBay. The iPhone with its multi-touchscreen and OS X user-interface as well as built-in WiFi, commands the hearts of the vast majority of the tech-savvy masses, and I suppose the the 23 can be forgiven for their Paypal-backed optimism. The seller, rgonzales23455, claimed to have his hands on 6 iPhones, which had been officially announced for a June release. Paypal has a buyer-protection plan, which ensures between $200 and PayPal up to $2,000 of their money if the sale turns out to be a scam. Of the six iPhone, only one got auctioned before eBay found out about it and removed the listing. The winning bid was $1,125, from a buyer who explained that it was a calculated risk funded by his company.
