China MP4/PMP, New Products

Meizu M3 iPod

The much anticipated release of the Meizu Music Card, also known as M3 is finally here. Even though it’s a little bit over a month later then the expected release date, a lot of the electrnics stores in China now have the M3 on their shelves. With the news also come the official price confirmations: 500/599/899 CNY which is about $65/$80/$120 for the 2GB/4GB and 8GB versions.

After the break check out a bunch of pictures of the actual units along with a nice size comparison to iPod Nano, cigarettes, business cards and we even see some macro shots of the controls and ports. The guys at HandPop always get some great images.

We also added a video by Charbax from CeBIT 2007 with some hands-on action.

Ok so here is a ton of pictures that we got from www.handpop.com (Chinese)
They have conducted a great photoshoot with some neat details and we hope that we got all the details correct.

Enjoy!

Meizu M3

Meizu Music Card M3 Right out of the box.

Meizu M3 Cigarette

As you can see, the cigarette is a bit longer then the M3

Meizu M3 Card

This is kind of the first comparison of the Nano vs M3 size.

iPod Nano is pretty much exactly the length of the standard business card.

And here we see the Meizu’s M3 comes in just a tad shorter.

Meziu M3 weight

You can barely feel the 42 grams PMP.

Meizu M3 Nano

The glowing pink letters don’t lie, this is Nano and M3 side by side.

Meizu M3 Hold

For those of you who wished the hold button color was darker, Meizu wins!

Meizu M3 Hold

The color of hold indent is not really a selling point for us, but the ridges

on the button seem to be a bit easier to use then the flat iPod hold.

Meizu m3 Side

Showing off the aluminum body is not really fair while comparing to an

older Nano, but you get the idea.

Meziu M3 Headphone

Here’s the familiar mini 3.5mm headphone interface.

Here come the macrolense shots.

Meizu M3

Looking pretty smooth there.

Meizu implemented the sliding touch controls on their players,
which are not going to be all that hard to get used to.

The buttons, don’t really click back like on the iPod units.
Our guess is that these controls have a lot of similarity with a touchpad on your notebook.

Meizu M3 Screen

Here’s a little screen comparison.

Meziu M3 HDD

Here’s what you get in terms of size on the 4GB, umm 3.8 to be exact.

Meizu M3 Headphones

And finally here are the headphones.
