Newcomer Deeda Going for iPhone’s Gullet

Deeda is a total unknown, and in fact we’re not sure about Brevisys, the supposed parent company, either. Deeda and Brevisys though has three touchscreen media devices to offer the public. They’re all touchscreens and one is a little bit better than the other. Deeda begins with the Kiku, which is basically an Internet tablet, and a pretty small one at that. It’s got Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 3-inch screen that is the poorest of Deeda’s offering but still technically a high-resolution screen. Firefox and Flash Player 8 comes with it, and other goodies includes RSS reader and Google maps. It won’t be a real multimedia device without a sizable storage, and in this case Kiku makes do with Flash memory (4 or 8GB) and two card slots compatible with SD, MicroSD, MiniSD, MMC, and RS-MMC.

The Menx is a little bit better, well, a lot better with the 3.6-inch 800 X 480-resolution touchscreen. It’s everything Kiku is with an added VoIP calling and a 2.0 megapixel camera.

The PI-Phone is Deeda’s iPhone contender. It’s got all the specs of the Menx plus an open GSM and a second lower-resolution camera for conference calling.
