Nokia N95 is Best Imaging Device of 2007

Nokia’s N95 multimedia computer has received the TIPA Award as “Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe 2007″ TIPA is theTechnical Image Press Association. N95 held the attention of TIPA as a pocketable device with outstanding image functionality. THe N95 got high scores for its autofocus and its mechanical shutter that minimizes distortion. The N95’s 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss optics can shoot objects at close range and at a distance with its 20x digital zoom.

An excerpt from the press release: “This award reinforces Nokia’s leadership and commitment to driving forward convergence in the mobile industry,” said Jonas Geust, head of Nokia Nseries Players Category, Multimedia, Nokia. “We’re delighted the Nokia N95 has been recognized as an outstanding imaging device and we firmly believe that by offering our customers true multimedia computers, like our Nokia Nseries range, we can confidently say we have now arrived at a time when people no longer need to carry multiple devices.”

Besides being a cellphone with a 5 megapiuxel camera, the N95 is also an MP3 player, GPS device with WiFi, HSDPA (wireless broadband connectivity) and a camcorder that takes DVD-quality videos.
