Another Chinese PMP maker is making noise in the portable media player market. The official Photo Shop images are quite unflattering, but the specs tell a different story. It is the first use of high-precision digital Touchscreen technology in a flash-based PMP product - just move your hands over the 3.5-inch HDTV screen and you got full control. The screen is low-temperature (you won’t burn your fingers) and the Windows-based user interface is intuitive enough users will immediately take a liking to it. Turn your PMP around and you’ll find a 1.3 megapixel camera in the back with interpolation of up to 2.7 megapixels.
It also supports static and dynamic continuous shooting video (DV camera). It plays MPEG-4 video files in ASF video format or through the conversion software at 320 x 240 @ 30fps. Other files supported: MP3/WMA, TXT and JPEG. The MV300 comes with 32 games preloaded with other nifty features than includes a document manager, AV out, built-in stereo speakers, microphone with recording capability and a customizable startup screen and background. It’s been out in China for three months with pretty good results.
