Apple Chief Operating Officer, Peter Oppenheimer, announced Wednesday that the iPhone is on track for a late June release. In a phone interview he told Reuters Apple expects to ship the iPhone late June. “We look forward to shipping the iPhone in late June and are very excited,” he said. He also admitted the 35% profit margin Apple had last quarter will not be maintained and cites rising component costs.
