Microsoft to Announce New Zune Monday

iLounge has reported that a new Zune will be revealed this Monday. It’s bound to be something a lot less overwhelming than Zune 2.0 or a Zune Phone, so everyone is pretty sure it’s going to be a flash-based player. We can’t comment much about it here at PMP Today but the tone of iLounge is matter-of-fact, which means this is a leak (from Microsoft themselves) rather than a rumor. That is, we can be sure Microsoft is going to make a Zune announcement on May 7. We were actually expecting an earlier annoncement, but I suppose that was just a rumor.
