As you can guess by the extra bluriness of the pictures, these are still going into the rumor department. With all these delopments and Zune news every couple hours, it’s also obvious that something is going on, and we will hopefully see some solid info on new and better Zune offerings.

Back to these particular shots that Engadget got from a “Zune source”, it seems that the next version of firmware, v1.4 (despite 2.1.4 in picture) will bring the ability to connect your Zune to any open WiFi hotspots and purchase content with MS Points.
