Portable Media Players use microSD cards memory extension almost universally. Now that Samsung has announced an 8GB capacity cards, we are pretty sure here at PMP Today that this will be a possitive development for the PMP market. These new Samsung SD cards reads and writes at speeds of 16 MB/s and 6 MB/s respectively. This is much faster than SDHC or higher capacity SD cards. We’re hoping we hear more about this Samsung 8GB SD card on the retail end pretty soon.
