The Sony PMP has been rumored since April, and, indeed, few people could believe it. But just a couple days ago, it was officially announced to the Chinese market along with the smaller PMX-U50. It looks like Spider Man had also something to do with it. The M70 boasts a 4.3-inch 480×272-pixel screen with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Other specs of the M70 include an FM tuner, hands-free speakers, TV-out, built-in video and audio encodervoice recorder, photo viewer, clock and calendar. It plays MP4 and AVI videos and MP3 and WMA audio files. It’s available in 2GB, 4GB or 8GB (flash-based) versions. Battery life is longish at 5hrs of video playback. More information of both the M70 and the U50 available from the product site.
