Engadget has posted a couple of very pretty pictures of newly launched cameras in Japan with media playing capabilities. The first one (picture above) is the Asuka Tripper V. The Tripper V has a 4.3-inch 800 x 480-pixel WVGA LCD screen. It supportss MPEG-4, MP3, AAC, JPEG and RAW image file (the direct data from an image sensor). The Asuka will set you back $660 for the maximum 160GB version, $570 for the 120GB and $400 for the 80GB. These are retail prices in Japan so allow a significant markup from US retailers when it gets here.

The P-3000 (below) is already available in the U.S. It has a 4-inch screen and 40GB of storage. It’s Mac compatible besides supporting Windows 2000, XP and Vista. It can play videos for 3 hours and music for 6. It costs $499.
