TurboLink’s Wizpy is a portable media player with bootable Linux OS for your PC. It will go on worldwide sale this June. The Wizpy has been available in Japan since February and TurboLinux must have seen the potential of a carry-on Linux boot in a device that plays DivX on its 1.7-inch OLED screen for other parts of the globe.
The Wizpy is waspy at 84 x 42 x 12mm (3.3 x 1.6 x 0.5 inches). With a half-inch waistline, the Wizpy is light at only 60g. BesideDivX, the Wizpy is compatible with Ogg, MP3, and AAC audio files. The Linux OS also comes with a browser, IP telephony (VoIP), email client, office software, MP3 recording function, media player album art, ID3 tag editing, quick search function and RSS feeder. Other specs include a USB port, headphone jack and mic.
The Wizpy will go on sale in India, North America, Europe, Asia, India, and Oceania. Original Japanese price is 33,800 Yen in Japan or about $278.
