One thing Sony Ericsson is good at is putting two or three devices in one. There are the Sony Walkman phone and Cyber-Shot phones, good solid technology in very delectably designed boxes. It looks like SE is going to extend its platform farther to include portable gaming. A recent patent filing presents a “MOBILE INFORMATION TERMINAL APPARATUS” with a special swivel screen action that leaves little room for doubt that it’s a portable gaming solution for phones. The device has two control pads on a row on phone mode, but twist the screen 180-degrees and you’ve got a small-sized PSP gaming console. I dunno. I think Samsung had the same idea in their VLUU i7 camera.
