Hyundai’s Modern Music line of PMPs are cheap and fashionable devices made precisely for the booming Chinese market. We’ll be presenting each one starting with the cheapest, the 1GB NH-210, priced at only $52 (399 yuan). It boasts a 2.2-inch 160k-color 220 x 176-pixel True Color TFT LCD. Control buttons are lumped together on the right side of the screen. The blue plastic “star” button apparently glows when file is in “play.” The other three are metallic and are subtly sunken into the casing for your thumb’s comfort. It’s compatible with AVI video files, plays more formats through a conversion software. It’s an e-Book reader, JPEG photo viewer, and audio recorder which converts voice into its native WAV file for playback, and it’s a game player as well. You can update on the firmware, possibly bringing in more file support and other functions. A miniSD card slot gives the NH-210 more capacity of up to 2GB for each card.
