When are they going to put calling capabilities on these do-it-all GPS-PMP devices? When iRiver teased the tech world with pictures of their new M10 and D5, many didn’t know what to make of them (including us at PMP Today). A navigation and entertainment device with a big nob like those you’ll find in old radios? Another electronic dictionary with a full QWERTY keyboard? To go back to the M10. What’s the deal with that big dial? Fortunately iRivier didn’t make us wait long, at least for the official an, presumably, preliminary specs of the M10, which has resurfaced as the iRiver NV. The NV is a GPS device with SIRF Star III, a DMB-T tuner and a PMP with a built-in FM tuner. It plays AVI (Divx, Xvid, MPEG-4 720×480 @ 30fps) /H.264 (352×288 @30fps), ASF, WMV, , MPG, MPEG, DAT, MP3, WMA, OGG, AC3, BSAC. Viewing is as good as itgets in a portable, a 7-inch 800 x 480 px LED. Before I forget, there’s an onboard 1.3 megapixel camera, whichtakes GPS tags and is pointed towards the front, while on the drivers side it becomes directional signal.
