Maxian has announced the 850, the successor of the Maxian 800, which we have previously found at another site with a hands-on review of this PSP-sized device. The new 850 incorporates an electronic dictionary on the 800 portable media player and a 4.3-inch WVGA touch screen for the accommodation. Yes, it looks like it’s gone touch screen, and an added TTS (text to speech) interface makes this PMP look more like a PDA. Other features include TV recording, Burr Brown’s audio codec, 9 equalizers, play speed adjustment and multitasking. The 17mm-thick PMP and e-Dictionary is priced at $399 for the 30GB.
More pictures after the break.

[...] Having reviewed the Maxian M800, I look forward to the next version which improves on its features. The main difference seems to be touchscreen and the OS now WinCE 5.0 based. No mention of wifi though?via PMPToday.com [...]
