Clone Acts: Is the Memup Orizon Just a Coby PMP4330?

It looks like we’ve all been victimized by another cloning. We reported Memup’s new Orizon PMP to you yesterday, pleased with ourselves that there is a new PMP we could report after an entire weekend-long of iPhone. As it turns out, Memup hasn’t announced a new PMP at all. Looking at the pictures of the Coby PMP4330, which came out a couple of months ago, and the Memup Orizon side-by-side, it’s hard to deny the similarilities. One is the carbon copy of the other. The specs are similar, too. 4.3-inch screen (although screen resolution might be higher on the Orizon), 30GB hard drive, FM radio. Video file compatibility are similar in both player with MJPEG supported along with more popular formats and audio support is actually better in the Coby with OGG support. The bigger difference lies in the price. The Memup Orizon is about a hundred dollars pricier than Coby’s PMP4330, and the PMP4330 also functions as a PVR.

Thanks Jakep_82 for the heads up.
