One of our favorite Chinese tech sites, imp3, just reviewed the MVP-800 by YOTO, the good-looking but cheap PMP we presented to you a few weeks ago. At 399 yuan or only $52, to MVP-800 boasts a 2.8-inch 320 x 240-pixel QVGA screen and a 98 x 55 x 9mm for factor. It plays XviD AVI video at 24fps and MP3 and WMA audio files with a WOLFSON WM8750 independent audio chip for improved sound quality. It 8EQ modes, a mic for recording and LRC lyric support. It’s an e-Book reader, image viewer and game emulator. It’s a multi-tasker so you can listen to music while reading an e-Book and also boasts an automatic shutdown after a firmware upgrade. For 399 yuan, it’s amazing half a million people don’t grab these from the store right away.
