Someone at Meizu - er, a Meizu fan, is what I mean, has been trying to do damage control since we came out with this article on the MiniOne and Negri Electronics and a certain email from Meizu, which turned out to be a “standard reply” sent by all Meizu reps to bothersome bloggers asking about the yet unreleased cell phone. Negri Electronics turned out to be nothing more than a fly-by-night site trying to cash in on the frenzy leading towards iPhone’s June 29 release. We were never fooled, however, by the Negri Electronics’ $988.50 price tag for the iPhone rival, and, frankly, we never expected anyone would be. So as far as we were concerned nothing more was needed than to state the site’s existence, and just to be sure, we included an official response letter from Meizu stating the contrary: MiniOne is still being finalized and it doesn’t have a price tag yet.

So, we’re asking you, dear readers. Is this blogspot blog necessary? Are Meizu - er, is this Meizu fan just taking things a little further than it should be taken? Come on, Meizu, we know it’s you. Just come out with it. Myminione.blogspot is the brainchild of someone from your marketing department. You didn’t really think that we’ll fall for it.

Update: Just to remind you, Meizu. We’d love nothing more than to get our hands on the superb MiniOne. We know you put all your hearts into this cellphone/PMP/GPS. If you could give us an advance unit for testing, we promise to do you right.
