Yukyung’s X2 Navigator PMP uses flash memory instead of the hard disk drive in its P2 predecessor. This should do well for rough roaders who’d like a bouncy ride and still expect their GPS navigator’s memory to come out undamaged. The X2 uses Windows CE, powered by a 500Mhz AMD AU1200 processor. Besides tuning in to DMB TV, it plays videos in formats: DivX, XviD, MPGE1/2/4, WMV 7 / 8 (480 × 272), WMV 9 (720 × 480). For music it supports most of the popular audio files: MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV. And, additionally, it’s a photo viewer with JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, WMF compatibility. Flash, HTML and MS Office documents support make this a pretty handy in-dash or in-hand navigator-PMP. The X2 is not as bulky as it looks with 142 x 79 x 23mm form factor, weighing in at 290g. It will come soon for the Korean consumer in 4GB and 8GB versions.
