10 07 2007
TEAC is a Japanese company with subsidiaries in Europe, the U.S. and Latin America. They’ve made a new MP3 player available, MP-600, which we’re going to call a PMP (portable media player) for obvious reasons. It plays AVI videos with native support for MP3, WMA, DRM9; JPG. It’s got an FM tuner and 8 equalizer functions for improved music listening. Form factor is a thin 73 x 43 x 9 mm and at only 43g, the MP-600 is one of the most lightweight PMPs with a 3.5 LCD screen. It certaily has the biggest screen size for its size range. Screen resolution is a bright 320 X 240-pixel QVGA. A USB cable, stereo earphone and video converter software comes with the player. The 2GB player will set you back $213. The MP-600 also comes in 1GB and 4GB versions.
