Korea’s i-Station is becoming a householed name for GPS enthusiasts. In-car navigators are becoming a necessity for Koreans who are increasingly finding it hard to stay off the road (that’s the impression they give us at least with all these PNDs they’ve been launching lately). The 7-inch TFT LCD screen, while nothing special, affords you the best viewing for the most compact size. It uses a 1.8-inch hard disk drive and has 30GB and 60GB versions available. It runs on Windows CE 5.0 and then there’s its navigation software, Mappy United, which is as fancy as you can go (3D maps, skyline in the background). It’s also a full media player with PiP (picture in picture) capability. SiRF Star III GPS receiver and an antenna makes sure you always get a signal.
