Bucking the trend for mediocre products, China’s Winbel Manufacturing Corporation Ltd. is offering model EAB0299, an incredibly feature-packed PMP. Oh, where to begin?
Well, this device has a 1.3MP CMOS camera that gets interpolated to
2MP, image- and video-capable (fine, so it isn’t perfect). To exhibit your photography/videography skills, there’s a 3.6-inch TFT LCD that shows 262,000 colors and has a resolution of 960×240.
The EAB0299 can do 320×240 video playback at 30fps, and supports JPEG, AVI, ASF, MP3, WAV, WMA and TXT files. Internal flash memory is from 128MB to 1Gb. It also has a slot that supports up to 1Gb of SD/MMC cards. Connectivity? It has AV in/out and a USB 2.0 ports.
Yes, it comes with a built-in microphone and speaker. It’s even compatible with Windows 98/ SE/ME/2000/XP/Vista (sorry, Mac users, better luck next time). Vital stats are 118×72x15.5mm, and weight is 135g. What a hottie.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to order at least 500 pieces if you want one of your own. Time to bug your local importer, then.
