CECT 599 W/ WQVGA Touchscreen

If the CECT 599 is trying to ride on the Apple iPhone bandwagon, it’s going about it timidly. Notice the mnemonic 599, which is also what the 8GB iPhone costs in dollars. The 3.2-inch WQVGA (240 x 400) screen is .3 inches shy of iPhone’s. After that the CECT 599 divests itself of any pretences of being like iPhone. There’s a 1.3 megapixel camera on board, no internal storage, microSD slot, and video playback is a poor 176 x 144 pixels.

Hey I just got the CECT 599 cell phone. Anyone that knows how to change the theme? its purple and kinda girly. And how do i turn of the extreemly disturbing vibrating fuction that viberate each freaking time i touch the screen?
Are there any downloadable softwares and updates for this. machinery of dissapointment?

Hello, I got this D99i phone by DigitalRise in the mail and spent all day trying to figure out how to configure it to Cingular… just after i had, it was posted online…
Click The nextwork setup file—> GPRS connection click so its on ALWAYS…
ALSO
I did not select the first entry look at the ****** down below…..I used a blank spot NUMBER 7 spot!!!!
***First Step***
1.Main menu –> Select Services
3.Select Data Account –> Select GPRS
5.Select the BLANK #7 entry****************************
6.Edit the account name to whatever you would like
7.Edit APN to wap.cingular (lowercase)
8.Edit Username to WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (UPPERCASE)
9.Edit Password to CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
10.Edit Auth Type. to Secure
11. Save
Select Back –> Select Back
***Second Step***
Select WAP
1.Select Settings –> Edit Profile
3.Select the first entry –> Edit Profile*************
5.edit the name to whatever you would like
6.Edit Homepage to http://device.home
7.Edit Data Account to the Name you established in the First Step
8.Edit Connection type to HTTP
9.The IP address is 066.209.011.032 and the port number is 8080
10.Edit Username to WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
11.Edit Password to CINGULAR1
Select back or done
Select Activate Account
You should now see a Black [G] in the upper left of your screen.
To access the net select Services –> WAP –> Homepage.
If it connects the Black [G] should turn Green

Despite what people say this pda has a great price tag this is the best phone i have had since the LG shine B
