The FCC (source of many product sneak peeks) just posted details of a new Toshiba DAP, the WiFi (b and g)-equipped Gigabeat MET401. They didn’t include that much information, but we do know that it’ll have a 2.4-inch display, 4Gb of flash memory and a Li-Ion battery. Estimated weight is 70g and dimensions are 54×85.6×9.9mm. Further, the operating system will be Windows Embedded (probably CE 6.0).
For those who might not have heard, the previous model (the Gigabeat S) was what Microsoft based the Zune’s hardware on. We’re not sure if the MET401 will have anything to do with Microsoft’s products, though.
