
One rumor suggests that iPod 6G would be released early August. If that rumor is true, then this rumor has a lot going for it. Now we know hoaxers and fakers could fake and hoax most anything these days, but this video of iPod 6G user interface in action is pretty sophisticated, too sophisticated for the casual hoaxer. Maybe Apple itself did the hoaxing.
The new 6G iPod UI will have the Ken Burns Effect on album art transitions, cover flow and one pure innovation, a split screen (you’ll see from the video). From the video as well, it’s obvious that this won’t be a touchscreen interface like in the iPhone. The UI is a lot simpler and it’s obvious a click-wheel would still be utilized to navigate it (call me stupid but based on the video, I find nothing on the UI that needs touch controls).

6th generation Ipod video will not ultilize external players as the Philips. Seems the pin configuiration has changed not allowing third party units to show video from the video ipod. Nice ah?
