Nokia announced today that California-based Digital Chocolate will be releasing several games for the N-Gage this fall. “Digital Chocolate has been a driving force in promoting social interaction within the context of mobile gaming,” said Gregg Sauter, Nokia’s director of third party publishing. “They are also an award winning publisher dedicated to bringing innovative games to the masses. It is these qualities that make Digital Chocolate a perfect fit for our N-Gage offering, which allows publishers to innovate with respect to quality, ease of use and community interaction.”
DChoc Café, one of the company’s new series, will merge casual games with the concept of social gaming through your mobile phone. DChoc Café is a virtual café that allows you to play card, board and puzzle games. You can create your virtual character, earn prizes, make game recommendations, and even meet your friends here to show them once and for all your mastery of poker. Or checkers, if that’s what you prefer.
In case you were wondering, there won’t be any new N-Gage devices in the near future (this isn’t one, either). Instead, the N-Gage platform will be included in devices running Nokia’s Series 60 3rd Edition.
