TweakTown did a review of Gigabyte’s GSmart t600. The t600 is a Windows Mobile phone with a built-in digital TV tuner. We don’t see a lot of Windows Mobile smartphones with TV tuners, but this one is such a phone. It supports both DMB and DVB-H, but based on the fact that this phone has been announced many months ago and judging from its bulk (not that bulky but not slim either), I’d say it’s not using the new Sharp or Samsung chips. So there are two TV tuners inside and a DAB tuner for radio broadcasts, besides the usual smartphone functionalities. Outdoor TV reception is excellent, but it gets a lot of static indoors. When you’re in a vehicle, you might want to invest on an antenna extension, because the t600 just doesn’t pick up the signal well enough inside. This might be because the t600’s own antenna doubles as a stylus.
