The Blast is OPPO’s newest darling, obviously designed to impress the fashion conscious. If you think the Luna V5 was pretty slick for a Chinese player, the Blast will just, well, blow your mind away. Take a look at the pic above, how this player seems to have slipped down from its CD case perch. You’re thinking how this player managed to be so petite in comparison with the CD case and you wonder if a new breed of PMP players has arrived in the market, a device that blends with your lifestyle hustle-free, a low-maintenance player that truly gives you peace of mind (unlike some Apple Players we know).
Even more interesting, the Blast supports FLV video format. The Blast will introduce the DBEE (dynamic bass enhanced engine) and will support Lossless Audio (FLAC and APE) as well as GIF and GIF animation, JPG and BMP. Blast uses Transflash storage. Price and availability not yet known.
See how thin it is after the break.

[...] Hot Pocket: Oppo Blast PMP Loves FLV Technology July 25th, 2007 The Oppo Blast is one sexy PMP. At only 6.9mm thick, its waistline is identical to an iPod Nano. But the Blast has a few tricks up its sleeve… On top of standard MP3/WMA/MP4/AVI/lossless audio support, the Blast will play flash video, XVID and animated gifs—yes, animated gifs—the best of web 2.0 in your hand! The 2.4″ display looks to be a true widescreen, which would put it in line with other Oppo PMP products. Storage is through MicroSD, and the whole package is vaguely reminiscent of a Zune if it were way, way cooler. [imp3 via pmptoday] [...]
