New Products

Soundwave’s been updated to get with the latest technology (very fittingly, considering how a cassette player would stick out like a sore thumb in this digital age). The latest toy of this classic Decepticon not only transforms, it plays MP3 files as well. Although he may not support his little minions Ravage, Rumble, Frenzy and Laserbeak, the new Soundwave comes with a miniSD slot that allows you to play the transformation sound (yeah, you know what I’m talking about) while you change him from robot to device and back. Or music, if you prefer.

Incidentally, you didn’t see him in the movie because they didn’t know how to deal with the unrealistic changing of size from cassette player to giant robot. Still, there’s hope. The producer said they’d include him in a sequel, as long as they figure out how to do it right.
