The second PMP to have come out of Archos’s 5th generation line is already available online, apparently without Archos’ official confirmation of its availability. The 405 is a mini-PMP with a 3.5-inch QVGA (320 x 240-pixel) screen and measuring 99.6 X 78 X 13.2mm and weighing 146g. It uses SD, SDHC, miniSD and microSD for storage and plays H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV, SRT/SMI, MP3 and VBR, WMA, WMA DRM, WAV (PCM/ADPCM), JPEG, BMP, png, pdf and others with plug-ins for Cinema (DVD or MPEG-2 and AC-3 audio) and PodCast. Pixmania is offering it for $222.
