Prima Cases announced the release of a new line of high-quality leather cases for the iPhone and the iPod today. The launch of their new designs mark the start of their Prima Select Series, which makes use of a limited stock of custom leather. Three styles are available for iPhone users–the premium leather book, open face and lateral style. Two of their iPod cases are designed to fit the iPod Video and the iPod Nano perfectly.

Maybe it’s just me but I think leather is a rather strange material to use to protect your gadgets. The Prima Cases definitely look functional, but they kind of cover the iPhone so much that you can barely see the phone’s sleek design.
