Archos 405 Available August 16
31 07 2007The little brother of the Archos 605 will accompany it in the market on August 16.Not only that, this Archos will be available in lavender. The 405 has 3.5-inch 320 x 240-pixel touchscreen with MPEG, WMV, SRT/SMI, MP3, WMA, WMA DRM, WAV (PCM/ADPCM), JPEG, BMP, png, pdf and plug-ins for Cinema and Podcast. In other words, the specs are similar to the 605 excepting dimensions, the 605’s WiFi connectivity and, of course, the new lavender shade.
Price: $233 USD

Thanks. Testing a new writer and I let him use my account. On paper he looked like a gadget expert. I suppose he just assumed a fully featured gadget bigger than his cell phone should have WiFi.

Article says it doesn’t have wifi.
Gets the touchscreen bit wrong though - the 405 doesn’t have a touchscreen. I got my 405 three days ago and it’s cool!

The original article did say wifi. Brian has since corrected it, as well as your mention of the touchscreen.
