The little brother of the Archos 605 will accompany it in the market on August 16.Not only that, this Archos will be available in lavender. The 405 has 3.5-inch 320 x 240-pixel touchscreen with MPEG, WMV, SRT/SMI, MP3, WMA, WMA DRM, WAV (PCM/ADPCM), JPEG, BMP, png, pdf and plug-ins for Cinema and Podcast. In other words, the specs are similar to the 605 excepting dimensions, the 605’s WiFi connectivity and, of course, the new lavender shade.

Thanks. Testing a new writer and I let him use my account. On paper he looked like a gadget expert. I suppose he just assumed a fully featured gadget bigger than his cell phone should have WiFi.

Article says it doesn’t have wifi.
Gets the touchscreen bit wrong though - the 405 doesn’t have a touchscreen. I got my 405 three days ago and it’s cool!

The original article did say wifi. Brian has since corrected it, as well as your mention of the touchscreen.
