Next week Apple is going to reveal the new iPod and it’s going to be a Nano successor. Apple invited jopurnalists to an event on August 7, which we assume would be the official press statement. The known details are these: it will play video at 320 x 240 pixels(the UI leak would’ve given you an accurate idea about what to expect if it was still online), 4GB and 8GB models ($299 and $399), 2-inch screen and new colors will be available. Looks pretty exciting, and word is it’s going to be dubed “Nano Touch”.

Sounds rather exciting - the click wheel should always stay < there are 3 seperate markets the iPod appeals to, the first is athletes and sports goers - with the Shuffle, the second the Nano which is for people on the go and want maximum portabiliy without the loss of function, and the second the touch screen market who love their apps.
Lets hope Apple does not stray off the mark here, or atleast offers a touch screen Nano alongside a click wheel one < and lets hope (if) a new touch Nano does come out then their pricing strategy reflects the current Nano market.
Thanks for the update mate,
