Microsoft, Zune

Microsoft plays several war references with their new special Zune offering. First they decide to give Halo-themed Zunes to soldiers. “Halo” is a popular first-person “shooter” game for Microsoft’s Xbox. As if U.S. soldiers don’t have enough combat in their minds, Microsoft tackles another war reference by giving free units to 300 soldiers military personnel. Short of calling these 300 lucky U.S. military servicemen Spartans, Microsoft goes on to sell the rest of the Halo 3 Zunes exclusively in military stores. What Microsoft is playing at exactly, we are not sure, but it’s a weird way of supporting the troops, especially without an Xbox to go with their free Halo 3 Zunes.
