Sirius is preparing for the launch of a new wearable product called the Stiletto 2 and a new Sportster SP5. President of Operations and Sales Jim Meyer says that more details will be released next month and that the Stiletto 2 might hit the market sometime this fall. No other word about its features or specs aside from this but the wait shouldn’t be too long. Let’s hope that there won’t be a repeat of what happened to the Stiletto 100. To refresh your memory: Sirius suddenly pulled the rug under those who pre-ordered its first “personal live satellite radio product”, causing quite a bit of a stir. The sudden stop of pre-orders wasn’t due to manufacturing problems; rather, the company was merely waiting for an FCC ID number from the feds since FCC guidelines prohibit the marketing of products that the commission does not approve of. They did get the approval eventually but the “delays” pissed off quite a few people.
