The design of this concept mp3/CD player by Yong-Seong Kim was inspired by the balisong, or a butterfly knife. It’s actually not the size of a CD; you’ll have to extend the “handles” of the mp3 player before you can pop your CD in and play it.
Take note that this is only a concept and there’s no news as to when they’re actually going to start manufacturing this product. It’d be so awesome if they could actually make this work though! I barely use CDs these days but I’d definitely get one of these.
Underneath the jump is one more photo of the music player (courtesy of Generation mp3) and photos of what an actual balisong looks like, for comparison.

The “balisong” portable DVD player folds into a candybar that you can slip inside the back pocket of your jeans. It should be pretty light weight and durable. Will we ever see it in the near future? Perhaps not, but we’re hoping that manufacturers will be inspired by the extreme portability of this Yanko design. [...]
