Does Apple Want to Kill iPod: New iPhone Commericals

Apple, Apple iPhone, Mobile Phone

Two new iPhone commercials have just come out. The first ad (above) is titled “Instead” and suggests something horrible:

Instead of carrying an iPod and a phone… why not carry an iPod, with all your favorite music and your favorite movies, and your phone…

The second ad, “Amazing,” does not even mention iPod, as if the thing is already into obsolescence. Is this the price we pay for constant innovation, that old friends are conveniently forgotten and outdated tech (iPod?) thrown into the phoenix fire from whence the Jesus phone has risen bearing Mac OS X, mobile Internet that isn’t watered-down, music playing and, yes, even cellular calling. Am I ranting? You can watch the second ad on Apple site or read on for something even more amazing we found on the Web.
