There’s no need for you to worry about your battery dying at the most inopportune moments. Creator of the wind-up radio Trevor Baylis just came out with the Eco Media Player, a wind-up DAP. A minute’s worth of winding can give this DAP 40 minutes of playback time. All in all, 20 hours of playback is possible. You don’t need to spend all that time winding up this little gadget though; the Eco Media Player can get power through a USB port.

The Eco Media player supports mp3, wma, asf, and wav formats. It also picks up FM radio signals, functions as a photo viewer and voice recorder, mobile phone charger, data storage device (with 2 gigs of memory), and a torch.
