Now we’re not sure if Samsung’s new 1.8-inch 160GB HDD will not be used for laptops. What we’re pretty sure is that it can fit easily in any medium-sized PMPs in the market today. The 1.8-inch 160GB HDD is described as “smaller than a business card” and has a spin rate of 4200 RPM. The uses of this device besides PMPs to camcorders and DVRs are virtually endless. Of course, we have yet to see the older 1.8-inch HDD from Samsung with 120GB of storage used in a recent gadget.
